What is SolidForms?

SolidForms is a registered professional 3D printing and laser cutting company based in Cairo, Egypt, operating a large-scale 3D print farm and fabrication studio.

Where is SolidForms located?

We are located in Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt.
Clients are welcome to visit us in person, and we also offer nationwide delivery across all Egyptian governorates.

Is SolidForms a registered company?

Yes. SolidForms is a legally registered company in Egypt.

When did SolidForms start operating?

SolidForms has been operating under its current name since July 2024, following earlier operations under the name Delta.egy 3D Printing.

What are your working hours?

We operate:

Larger objects can be split, printed, and assembled professionally.

Can you handle multiple jobs at the same time?

Yes. Our print farm is designed for parallel production, making us ideal for urgent orders and batch printing.

Quality & Accuracy

Do you inspect printed parts?

Yes. Every printed part is visually inspected before delivery.

What if there is a defect?

We reprint defective parts, even if the defect is extremely minor or barely noticeable.

Do you offer tolerances?

When parts need to fit together, we apply the SolidForms Tolerance Standard, which we explain and agree on with the customer before printing.

Files & Design

What file formats do you accept?

We accept only the following formats:

  • .STL
  • .STEP
  • .OBJ

Do files need to be print-ready?

It depends on:

  • File quality
  • Geometry
  • Intended function

We review every file before printing.

Do you offer design services?

Yes. We offer full “from the ground up” design services, including:

  • CAD modeling
  • Design for 3D printing
  • Functional optimization

Turnaround & Deadlines

How fast is your turnaround time?

Turnaround depends on size and material, but we are usually among the fastest in the market.
Many jobs are completed same day if technically feasible.

Do you accept urgent or rush orders?

Yes. Rush jobs are accepted, usually with a small “jumping the line” fee.

Do you prioritize academic deadlines?

Yes. Submission and jury deadlines are prioritized, especially for students.

Batch Orders & Production

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No. There is no MOQ (minimum order quantity).

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Yes. Large quantities receive significant bulk discounts.

Can you reprint parts months later?

Yes. We can reproduce parts identically, even months later, using saved profiles and settings.

Pricing & Payment

How is pricing calculated?

Pricing is based on:

  • Material weight

Is there a minimum order value?

Yes. The minimum order value is 20 EGP.

What payment methods do you accept?

When is payment required?

  • Orders under 2000 EGP: payment after printing
  • Orders over 2000 EGP: 50% deposit required before printing

Delivery & Packaging

How are parts packaged?

We provide protective packaging when required, including:

  • Bubble wrap
  • Cardboard boxes

Who is responsible if a courier damages the part?

SolidForms takes full responsibility if a part is damaged during courier delivery.

Do you work with students?

Yes. We work regularly with students from all faculties, including architecture, engineering, and design.

Do you offer student discounts?

Yes. We offer a 10% student discount.

Are there parts you do not print?

Yes. We do not print:

  • Weapons or weapon-related parts
  • Food-contact parts

Are printed parts cosmetic or functional?

Both. Parts can be cosmetic or fully functional, depending on material and design.

How much does 3D printing cost in Egypt?

Price depends on two things: how much material the part uses and how long the printer runs. There is no minimum order quantity, and the minimum order value is 20 EGP. You can get an instant estimated price range for your own part by uploading an STL on the Build With SolidForms page, and the team confirms the exact figure before anything is printed. What is FDM 3D printing?

FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) builds a part by melting plastic filament and laying it down layer by layer until the object is complete. It is the most widely used 3D printing process for functional parts, prototypes and models. SolidForms runs FDM exclusively, on 16 industrial Core-XY and large-format machines in Cairo.

What is the difference between PLA and PETG?

PLA+ is stiffer, holds fine detail well and gives the best surface finish, which makes it the usual choice for display models, prototypes and indoor parts. PETG is tougher and more impact-resistant, handles heat and moisture better, and is the better choice for outdoor parts, brackets and enclosures. If you are unsure, describe what the part has to do and the team will recommend the material.

Can I get a 3D print the same day in Cairo?

Often, yes. Many jobs are completed the same day when it is technically feasible, because the print farm runs 16 printers in parallel. Rush jobs are accepted with a small priority fee, and student submission and jury deadlines are prioritised.

How do I get a price for my part?

Upload your STL, STEP or OBJ file on the Build With SolidForms page. The site measures the geometry and shows an estimated price range straight away, along with the size of the part and whether it fits our machines. You will get a reference number, and the team confirms the exact price before printing.

Do you sell 3D printers in Egypt?

Yes. SolidForms supplies the same machines it runs in production — Bambu Lab, Elegoo, Anycubic, Creality and Snapmaker — with local support, setup help and delivery. See the 3D printers collection.

Do you sell 3D printing filament?

Yes. We stock 1.75 mm, 1 kg spools in a wide colour range: Patron PLA+, Matte PLA, Marble PLA and PETG-HS, plus the FG range in PLA+, ABS and marble finishes. Everything we sell is filament we run in our own print farm. See the filament range.

Can you 3D print carbon fibre parts?

Yes. We print PA-CF (carbon-fibre nylon), PETG-CF and PLA-CF. Carbon-fibre reinforced filaments are stiffer and more dimensionally stable than their base plastics, which suits structural components, jigs and fixtures.

Are 3D printed parts strong enough for real use?

Yes, when the material and the part are chosen for the job. Parts can be cosmetic or fully functional. Strength comes from the material (PETG, ABS, nylon and carbon-fibre grades are far tougher than PLA) and from how solid the part is printed. Tell us what the part has to withstand and we will match the material to it.

Do you deliver outside Cairo?

Yes. We deliver nationwide across all Egyptian governorates, and you are also welcome to collect from the studio in Nasr City, Cairo. SolidForms takes full responsibility if a part is damaged by a courier in transit.

Do you print architectural models for university projects?

Yes. We work regularly with architecture, engineering and design students, prioritise submission and jury deadlines, and offer a 10% student discount. There is more detail on the architecture models page.

Can you make something if I do not have a 3D file?

Yes. We offer design from the ground up, including CAD modelling, design for 3D printing and functional optimisation. Describe what you need — a sketch, a photo, or the part it has to fit — on the Build With SolidForms page and we will take it from there.

What is the largest thing you can 3D print?

Our maximum single-part print volume is 800 × 800 × 1000 mm. Anything larger than that is split, printed in sections and assembled professionally, so overall size is not really a limit.

Do you take on batch production and manufacturing work?

Yes. The print farm is built for parallel production, there is no minimum order quantity, and large quantities receive significant bulk discounts. We can reproduce a part identically months later from saved profiles. Startups, factories and workshops are regular clients — see SolidForms B2B.

إزاي أعرف سعر قطعتي بسرعة؟

إيه الفرق بين PLA و PETG؟

الـ PLA+ أقوى في التفاصيل والشكل النهائي، وبيستخدم للمجسمات والموديلات والقطع اللي جوه البيت. الـ PETG أمتن وأقدر على الصدمات والحرارة والرطوبة، وبيستخدم للقطع اللي هتشتغل بره أو تتحمل استخدام فعلي. لو مش متأكد، قولنا القطعة هتعمل إيه واحنا نرشحلك الخامة.

بتطبعوا في نفس اليوم؟

في أغلب الأحيان أيوه، لو الشغل يسمح فنيًا. عندنا 16 ماكينة بتشتغل في نفس الوقت، وبنقبل الطلبات المستعجلة برسوم أولوية بسيطة، وبنراعي مواعيد تسليم المشاريع والجوري للطلبة.

بتبيعوا فلامنت (خيوط طباعة)؟

أيوه. عندنا بكر 1 كيلو مقاس 1.75 مم بألوان كتير: Patron PLA+ و Matte PLA و Marble PLA و PETG-HS، بالإضافة لمجموعة FG. كل اللي بنبيعه هو نفس الفلامنت اللي بنطبع بيه في المصنع. اتفرج على مجموعة الفلامنت.
